Our Playgroup

Happy Faces Playgroup is a small, friendly playgroup with an excellent reputation. We welcome new families to come and visit us at any time during a session (however, we would be grateful if you could avoid the first and last fifteen minutes of each session) no appointment is neccessary as we like to feel that you are seeing a true picture.

Our Aims

We aim to provide high quality care and education for pre-school children (from 2 years 6 months to 5 years old) in a fun, stimulating and caring environment. The staff work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop to their full potential. We also aim to add to the life and well-being of the local community and offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity.

Our Activities

Happy Faces organises its sessions so that the children can choose from - and work at - a range of activities and, in doing so, build up their ability to select and work through a task to its completion. At every session the following are available for the children to choose from: Painting corner, gluing and sticking table, adult-led craft activity related to the theme for the week, challenge table, play-dough, role play area and dressing up clothes, a selection of toys, books, games and puzzles.

Where are we?

We operate from The Liddell Hall which is located at the rear of Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall. The hall provides a warm, welcoming and cosy environment and we also have a fully-enclosed garden for the children to play in.

Session Times for 2009/2010

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday session times available:

• 9.15am – 12.15pm (Morning session)
• 9.15am – 1.15pm (Morning session including lunch club)
• 9.15am – 3.30pm (All day session)
• 12.30pm – 3.30pm (Afternoon session including lunch club)
• 1.30pm – 3.30pm (Afternoon session)

Wednesday and Friday session times available:

• 9.15am – 12.15pm (Morning session)
• 9.15am – 1.15pm (Morning session including lunch club)
